細菌を浴びた過激派がヨーロッパ大陸縦断列車へ逃れた。車内には伝染病が広まり、機密の漏洩を恐れた軍は秘密裏に列車をポーランドへ運び隔離しようとするが、その路線には老朽化したカサンドラ大鉄橋が横たわっていた……。
